When moving to a new location, institution, or system, you must guarantee that your new plan exceeds your long-term goals. These goals are related to your future career, education, or personal desires.
Can I alter my course?
Yes! You may be eligible to changing courses as an overseas student in Australia on a Student visa (subclass 500) if you believe that what you’re presently studying isn’t the greatest option for your career aspirations.
However, there are a few factors to consider before changing courses or study programs:

You do not need to apply for a new student visa if you have been studying for your initial degree for six months or longer and desire to shift to a same or higher level Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) program at your present institution.
Any changes in your study circumstances will be reported to the Department of Home Affairs by your education provider; you will not even need to update your ImmiAccount! If your existing student visa is about to expire, you will need to apply for a new one.
Taking a lower-level or non-AQF course
You must apply for a new student visa if you intend to attend a lower-level or non-AQF program. There are several exceptions if you transfer from an AQF level 10 (Doctoral degree) to an AQF 9 program (Master’sDegree).
It is important to note that if you are on a packaged course (for example, Foundation studies and university courses bundled together), the start of your main course may influence your eligibility to transfer.
